FXO, FXS gateways
Zagros Mechatronic Company, with its experienced personnel and composed of experienced engineers and experts, is proud to perform all the services related to the installation of ” Analog and digital telecommunication equipment (voip)”, in the following, we will introduce one of the subsets of this group of services called “FXO, FXS gateways”.
Introducing the ” FXO, FXS gateways” service:
To provide analog and digital VoIP telecommunication equipment services, Zagros Mechatronic Company has the possibility of preparing and supplying FXO and FXS gateways for setting up telecommunication systems. In the following, we will introduce these gateways.
Introducing FXO:
The FXO port is a gateway that connects to the telecommunications network. Has the ability to receive beeps and convert telephone lines to TCP / IP Packet. Compared to the FXS port, this port does not have electricity and there is nothing when you connect the phone to it and pick up the phone. FXO devices are exactly like FXS. There are two types of internal and external. With the same number of ports and specifications. If you are not sensitive to FXS or FXO acronyms, you will not be able to distinguish between these two types of devices. As mentioned earlier, the equipment uses VoIP technology and converts analog audio signals to a TCP / IP packet. the FXO gateway is used to connect city telephone lines to the VoIP network. In other words, city calls from analog lines are converted to VoIP calls by this gateway.
Introducing FXS:
In the telecommunications industry, the FXS port is the port in which the user’s device (phone) is connected to. The FXS port has a beep and has an electric flow. You can connect the traditional phone to it, and if we pick up the phone after connecting the traditional phone to the FXS port, the beep will be heard. The FXS VoIP Gateway is also a VoIP gateway capable of converting the analog signal of a traditional telephone connected to it to TCP / IP Packet (vice versa). The FXS may be designed and manufactured as an external gateway connected to the network. In the picture below, you can see an example of this equipment.
The least ports on an external FXS gateway are the LAN (RJ45 Jack) and the FXS Port (RJ11 jack). The FXS Gateway may be switched on with a direct power input ( adapter) or the power supply may be supplied through the POE port.
