Conventional fire alarm system:
The building or place where we intend to implement the fire alarm system is divided into several sections or so-called zones. we only know which area or zone has been affected by the fire, but it is not clear which sensor or detector issued the warning. In a conventional system, the maximum number of detectors that can be placed in each area is 32 detectors. So for a large business center with 1,000 detectors, a large number of zones or areas are needed, which can lead to crowded wiring. But the addressable system has solved this problem.
Components of a conventional fire alarm system
The detectors used in a conventional system have a relay-like function and have two normal and warning modes, the sensitivity of which is pre-set in the manufacturer’s factory and cannot be changed. There should be no more than 40 detectors in each conventional area. This can be changed based on the specifications of the product manufacturers.
A conventional fire alarm system is a system in which components such as smoke, heat, smoke-heat (combined) detectors and fire alarm knob buttons are all connected in parallel to a pair of wires and If any of the components change from normal to alarm mode, the current signal will increase and the central control panel will change to alarm mode according to this change in current.
